Until now all rewards had been more or less self-explanatory, and although in the future we will use this section to give you more information aboute them, today we are going to jump straight to those of Act II to talk about the Heroic cards, a new resource at the service of the adventurers, that will prove really helpful in dodging the threats ahead of you.
There are twelve of them and they represent feats the heroes can accomplish once per adventure. From delivering a particularly accurate blow to a foe that turns a critical situation upside down, to jump in the last second to avoid a pit trap that has just opened under your feet. Some would think this is just sheer luck, but as the adventurers become more experienced this “luck” will find them more often.
Now then, they are not permanent nor can be chosen. Before beginning each adventure, the heroes will randomly take one of these cards (or more than one, eventually) and keep them to make use of them during the game. They better don’t waste them.
A clarification about the last update: In yesterday’s questions and answers round we said that the name of every backer will be present inside the game box. This was a mistake (already fixed in the original text). Each Heroquest 25th Anniversary box will be numbered and customized in the inside only with your own name. We regret this confusion.
Another note: Don’t think that we have forgotten about the Add-ons. We are working alongside Lánzanos to offer them to you as soon as possible, but we want to do it in the easiest and most convenient way to you. We will keep you posted.
